Thelma was the youngest of four daughters raised by their Norwegian Mother, Anna Barker. After graduating from Queen Anne High School, she married Bill Lawrence. They lived in Wallingford for 35 years. After retiring, they moved to Northshire in North Seattle. Dad golfed at Jackson Park with his cronies and Mom was a Docent at the Dunn Gardens. Being a homemaker was very important to Mom. Her meals were always delicious and well thought out. Everyone cherished an invitation to a lovely sit-down dinner and a beautifully set table.
Thelma is survived by their three children; Bill, now living on McKenzie River Drive in Oregon (daughter, Kimberly), Susan Kasperson (Dick),now living on Martha Lake and Katherin Trafton (Steve), now living on Whidbey Island.
Thelma spent the last 15 years in Assisted Living facilities—Admiral Heights in West Seattle and Quail Park in Lynnwood. By coincidence, both Kathy and Susan were with her at Quail Park
on June 1. They took Mom out to the gardens to admire the blooming dogwoods. It was a very tender outing with a gracious and kind lady, our Mom. The next day, she was gone.
