Born to Ukranian parents, Victor Kirilenko was born September 6, 1947 in Salzburg, Austria. Continuing their flight from the instability in Europe at that time, the family made their way to Brazil in 1949. They lived in Brazil until 1962, when the Slavic Evangelical Church in Philadelphia sponsored the family to immigrate to the United States. As fate would have it, the same church also sponsored his future wife Maria, along with her family, to immigrate to the United States as well. Timing is everything and once they met, their journey began.
Vic & Maria married on November 5, 1966. The following year, they welcomed their first son, Victor Jr. A move to Rochester, New York followed, where Vic & Maria welcomed their second son Tim, in 1970. The family stayed in Rochester for an extended time, welcoming their third son Mark in 1976 before making the move to Seattle in 1978. The move to Seattle brought them to the Russian church in Ballard, where they met so many families similar to theirs, establishing a community in which to raise their family. Curiosity of different pursuits brought Vic to the automotive industry, where he excelled until his retirement in 2023. So many amazing connections and friendships were made in the industry, with his sons following in his footsteps to emulate the footprint he leaves behind.
Vic is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maria. He also leaves behind his sons Vic Jr (Samantha), Tim (Tina) and Mark (Andrea). He is loved by his granddaughters Emilia & Stella as well as his grandsons Noah, Korban, Luke & Connor, as well as Justin, who passed away in 2023. Vic was also blessed to have the love of extended family and many wonderful friends.
Our family invites you to join us as we celebrate Vic’s life. To share in our love for him and remember all the laughter he so easily inspired.
