We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Victor Rico Suazo, a cherished son and friend, who left us on Easter morning, April 20, 2025, at the age of 19 in Seattle, Washington. Victor was a bright soul, a dedicated athlete, and a passionate culinary student.
He is survived by his parents, Nikki Binford and John Suazo, grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Known affectionately as "Vic," he was born on November 16, 2005, in Newport, RI. The family relocated to Colorado Springs, CO from Virginia Beach, VA in 2013, where he attended Discovery Canyon Campus starting in the second grade, graduating in May 2024. Following graduation, Vic pursued his culinary dreams at South Seattle College, inspired by his time working at Texas Roadhouse and Urban Egg in Colorado Springs.
Vic will be remembered for his infectious laugh, kindness, and various passions. As a child, he enjoyed video games, nerf gun battles, lacrosse, and attending summer camp at Eagle Lake. He loved bringing friends to the family ranch. During his junior high and high school years, his interests in cooking and music blossomed. He taught himself guitar and formed a band with friends. While pursuing his dream to become a chef, Vic had a compassionate heart, often volunteering to help those in need.
He is deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Vic's life will be held on Saturday 7 June at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs, CO.
In memory of Vic and his love for Eagle Lake Camps, we invite you to consider a donation in lieu of flowers. Eagle Lake Camps, a cherished organization devoted to fostering Christ-centered love through outdoor experiences, was dear to Vic's heart. Your generous contribution will help other children enjoy the same wonderful summer experiences that brought Vic so much joy.
