Bill Chisholm, son of Charles and Agnes Chisholm, was born at the Presidio of San Francisco, CA. He lived most of his life in Seattle, graduating from Queen Anne High School in 1940, and then graduating from Edison Vocational School in 1942.
Bill enlisted in the army in 1942 where he had the privilege to serve on General MacArthur's Honor Guard. Following his honorable discharge in 1946, Bill attended the University of Washington where he was hired on as an electrician for the next 30 years.
Bill married Judith Lund on November 25th, 1949 and their first son, Charles, was born on August 27, 1950. Two more boys, and a girl followed until Stephen, the last child, arrived on October 23, 1956; Bill's 35th birthday.
Bill took to parenting with gusto, cooking breakfast for the brood, and teaching baseball and shooting skills. Bill was actively involved in Boy Scouts and Little League, and the Chisholm's could often be found at the neighborhood park having a family baseball game.
Bill also enjoyed golfing, hunting and bowling. The family lived in a small, crowded home with one bathroom, so outdoor activities were the norm.
After his retirement in 1977, Bill took up gardening and together he and Judy canned fruit and vegetables. From 1987-88, Bill helped his youngest son, Steve build a log home in Snoqualmie. On April 5, 1993, after 43 years of marriage, his beloved, Judy passed away. Bill was also preceded in death by his sister Nancy in 1992.
Bill is survived by four sons, Charles, William, Alan, Stephen; daughter, Lillian Erola; grandchildren, Scott, Brent and Chelsea Erola, Cassandra and Justin Chisholm, and sister; Margaret Van Nus.
Bill will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
