William Arnold Rayburn, lovingly known as “Bill or Duce,” passed away on August 21, 2025, in Shoreline, Washington, at the age of 68. Born on October 26, 1956, in Blackfoot, Idaho, Bill grew up surrounded by a large and caring family, the son of Margaret and Harlen Rayburn.
Duce was a dedicated husband to his beloved wife, Jean Rayburn, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage since January 20, 1990. He was a proud father to Joey Partain, a supportive sibling to Mark Rayburn, Tammy Smith, Terry Rayburn, Nancy Rayburn, Todd Rayburn, Angela Mitchell, Scott Plato, Jill Davidson, Vera Foster, and the late Tim Rayburn, Nancy Leach, and Peter Rayburn. He had numerous nieces and nephews. Known for his big heart and larger-than-life persona, Bill was affectionately called “Motorcycle Santa” by those who knew him—a testament to his passion for motorcycles and his generous spirit throughout the year.
His days were frequently spent working with his hands: first as an automotive and then a sheet metal mechanic before retirement. Along with caring for his beloved pets, Bill’s interests also included hockey, leatherwork, rope work, and tattoos— each reflecting his adventurous and creative nature. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on his birthday, October 26th, with a gathering at home. Bill’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
