Retired CW03, Alan K. Sheldon, Sr. born in Somerville, Massachusetts on May 7, 1931, passed away at his home peacefully in his sleep on May 23, 2016 at the age of 85. Alan did two tours in Vietnam. He received 3 Bronze Stars, a Republic of Vietnam Campaign Metal and an Army Commendation. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Katherine Anne Sheldon. He is survived by brother, Charles E. Sheldon and wife Sally and their 3 children; son, Alan K. Sheldon, Jr; Priscilla Anguiano and family. Alan will be dearly missed. A Committal Service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on June 1, 2016 at 11:30 am with full military honors. Arrangements are under the direction of Goetz Funeral Home.
