Alton Clifton Bailey of Seguin, TX passed away on April 30th, 2015 at the age of 89.He was born in San Antonio, TX to Gambriel and Nellie (Keene) Bailey on February 23, 1926. Alton was preceded in death by his
mother and father. Alton is survived by his wife of 69 years Viola M. Bailey, sons; Wayne Bailey, and
Gregory Bailey and wife Becky, daughter Darlene Tondre, granddaughter Pamela Ortega, grandson
Steven Tondre, and great-grandchildren; Morgan, Zane, and Mason.
Alton was a switchman for Southern Pacific railroad in San Antonio, TX for 36 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason belonging to the Highland Hills lodge # 1373 AF&AM with a lifetime membership. He also helped to build another Masonic lodge in San Antonio. He was in the United States Navy, and as a hobby enjoyed working on automobiles as a shade tree mechanic.
