

Diana Alvina Thompson, 62, passed away December 11, 2010. She was born in Seguin on January 17, 1948 to Leroy and Rayna Foerster. She graduated from Canyon High in 1966 and recieved a degree in Elementary Education from Southwest Texas University in 1970. She married Glenn R. Thompson on June 28, 1969 and began teaching at Schertz Elementary in 1970. She taught for 38 years, at Jefferson Elementary and Patlan Elementary in Seguin. Diana was a true Texas girl, and a true Christian woman, who loved children, Texas wildlife, hiking and camping. She knew all her local flora and fauna by heart.
She is preceeded in death by her mother-in-law, Faye L. Thompson; father-in-law, Glenn B. Thompson; and brother-in-law Donald Valchar.
Survivors include: her parents, Leroy and Rayna Foerster; Glenn R. Thompson; her three sons, Ross Thompson, Russell Thompson and Justin Thompson; daughter-in-law, Samantha Robertson-Thompson; sisters, Virginia Valchar and Mary Foerster; brother, Leroy Foerster; and soon to be born grand-daughter, Lulu Pearl Thompson.
Visitation will be held in Goetz Chapel from 5-9 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 15th with family present from 6:30 to 8 pm. Services will be held in Goetz Chapel at 4 pm on Thursday, Dec. 16th.
