John Thompson Wenzel

John Thompson Wenzel passed away on February 12, 2016 at the age of 65. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Wenzel and Mildred Epperfon. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sherry B. Wenzel; step-daughter, Jocelyn Nixon and husband Larry; grandchildren, Jocearry Nixon and Larry Ford; sisters, Lynda Goetz and husband Ron, Kathryn Hensley and companion Jesse Champion; brother, Robert Wenzel and wife Tracy; and other relatives and friends. John enjoyed fishing, he was a football fan and loved his five furbabies. John retired after 30+ years of dedicated service as an employee from the City of Austin. John was a loving husband and devoted family man that always provided for his wife and family. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11:00 am at San Geronimo Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Goetz Funeral Home.
