William "Sonny Gerdes passed away at home in Seguin, Texas on the 26th of July, 2010. He was born in 1924 to William and Nettie Stautzenberger Gerdes in Seguin, and lived 86 years, 4 months and 12 days.
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Geraldine Albrecht. He is survived by his sister, Goldie Herbold and husband Leroy; sister, Yvonne Sumner; nephews: Greg Kern and wife Francis, Duane Herbold and wife Joanne, Lance Kern and wife Clara; nieces: Debby Plotkin and husband Al, Brenda Volpe and husband Bruce, Lori Aydlotte; and numerous other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Goetz Memorial Chapel in Seguin at 2 pm on Thursday, July 29th, 2010.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation. Arrangements are under the careof Goetz Funeral Home, Seguin, TX.
