I was blessed to know Aaron. His spirit and heart of gratitude was palpable.  Every Sunday after service, he'd come into our coffee fellowship and it was as though the lights got a little brighter.  He'd hug or shake hands with his brothers in Christ or listen to a sister.  He was genuinely interested in each individual and didn't have a single superficial bone in his body.  At Aaron's memorial service, hearing just some of the precious stories and memories from his family and friends was hearing the legacy of a great man; one who put God above himself to be a man of truth and encouragement to all who were blessed to have just a few moments, years or a lifetime with him.  I'll be in a long line to meet Jesus and see Aaron again in Glory!

Ann & Family,

We are very grateful to have had the pleasure of knowing and loving Aaron for the many years we shared together.  Aaron was always a kind, caring and devoted man to the church as a Deacon and Trustee.  He understood the order of things, God, family and church.  He ministered to us during many of Tom's hospitalizations and whenever we met up with him and Ann at Lowes, etc., it was like we had never been apart from either of them.  Of all the loved ones at NEPB, Aaron holds a special place for always having a loving heart always cautious not to say a bad thing of anyone while demonstrating that wonderful sense of humor.  Ann, you have been and will continue to be in our prayers, as will your whole family, and hope we  will see you around real soon.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences and sympathy for your loss. I know today will be hard for you all. Just know that your loving  husband, father, grandfather and brother is no longer in pain and is  watching over you from his special place in heaven and will  ALWAYS be with you in your hearts and memories!!

Aaron was loved by my parents and I am thrilled that they are once again together.  The years that Aaron and the other Deacons shared singing those great gospel songs were special ones but I  am certain that their joy was in daily serving God. 

Aaron was one of my dearest friends and finest Christians that I have ever known.  He and I sang in a gospel quartet for over 30 years.  He has always made me feel his love for our Lord Jesus Christ and to me and my family.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and always kept you laughing.  We will miss him tremendously but know that he is now in heaven singing in the original Deacon's Quartet.  Our deepest sympathy and prayers go to the Cheatham family. We love you.

Our deepest sympathy for your loss.  Aaron was a wonderful Christian who loved the Lord beyond measure.  He shared his faith with so many people he came in contact with, and blessed so many whose lives he touched.  He was a strong man, who loved his family, and was always willing to be of help, however he also was a man who spoke what he thought.  He served the Lord in many ways which included being a Deacon at his church.  He was an original member of the Deacon's Quartet which brought spiritual inspiration to so many.  He served on numerous committee's within the church bringing his knowledge, expertise, and wisdom.   Although he will be missed by not only his family, but friends as well, and has joined the ranks of entering Heaven.  His Lord and Master will say of him, he was "a good and faithful servant" and he is worthy of all the blessings Heaven affords those who know Him as Lord and Savior.
