Carol graduated from USF in 1968 and continued her education receiving a Masters Degree in 1999 from NOVA university, an Advanced Certification in Traumatolgy from Florida State University.
She worked as a social worker for the America Red Cross stationed in Ft Bragg.
Carol moved to Florida and worked for St. Pete Alternative School as behavioral specialist, worked for Safe and Drug Free Schools while helping to organize the CISM team for Pinellas County. She joined FLA-3 DMAT rapid response team, became crisis manager for the Pinellas County School System. Carol wrote the disaster response protocols for the Pinellas County School System and was also a part of the crisis response team for Pinellas County School System. She also served as a traumatologist in the aftermath of September 11th in New York City, Hurricane Andrew, Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Rita, and Hurricane Charlie. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Largo, Florida.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Daniel; son, Andrew Madura, Spring Hill, Florida and daughter, Megan Madura, Seminole, Florida and sister, Diane Lund.
