Hildrey Cunningham

With deep sorrow but faith in God’s plan, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Hildrey Fae Blankenship Cunningham, who peacefully departed this life on December 27, 2025 at the age of 88. She was a woman of faith, love, and kindness, always putting her family and others before herself. Her generosity and warm spirit touched the lives of many.

Hildrey was born on June 3, 1937 in Dover, Florida, daughter of the late William W. Blankenship and Ruby Moore Blankenship.

In addition to her parents, Hildrey was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jesse LeRoy Cunningham; one son, Michael Leroy Cunningham; three brothers, Junior, Bobby and Norman; and three sisters, Audrey, Frances and Polly.

Hildrey is survived by one son and two daughters-in-law, Delton Cunningham (Robin) and Wendy Cunningham; one daughter and one son-in-law, Della Cobb (Eric); Twelve grandchildren, Brittany (Josh), Austin (Cajal), Kaylee (Lee), Zachary, Hunter (Bianca), Jesse, Gabriel and Jaiden; and five great-grandchildren, Heidi, Cooper, Mireille, Mateo, and Palmer; and two sisters, Stella Welch and Sandi Mattia. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Services will be held at 11am Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home in Seminole, with Timothy Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at noon.

Visitation is prior to services from 9am to 11am, at the funeral home.
