92, of Gulfport, Florida, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 at Suncoast Hospice Care Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was born April 4, 1923 in Marble, North Carolina, the daughter of H. Grady and Lilly (Mulkey) Smith. Lois and her late husband, Wayne, moved to Gulfport from Osteen, Florida in 2001. They learned square dancing and enjoyed friendships in a square dance camping club.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, H. Powell Smith and Max Smith. Survivors include daughters, Jane Duquette and her husband, Thomas, and Susan Scofield; a sister, Ruth Plunkett; a grandson, Matthew W. Scofield, and a great grandson, Isaac Scofield.
Lois will be laid to rest with her late husband, Wayne, at Bay Pines National Cemetery in Bay Pines, Florida at a later date.
