Robert Harris Suggs

Robert Harris Suggs, 82, of Saint Petersburg, Florida, passed on January 25, 2026. Bob was born on December 23, 1943, in Newport, Rhode Island, to Louis and Beatrice Suggs. He married Mary Morrison in 1968. He and Mary had four children: Lawrence, Sarah, Elizabeth, and James; four grandchildren: Jasmine, Sydney, Brandon, and Addison; and three great-grandchildren: Sasha, Shani, and Sybree. He's also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Having graduated from Barrington College in 1967 with a B.A. in Philosophy, he received both an M.S. (1972) and an Ed.D. (1979) in Counseling from the State University of New York in Albany. Bob’s career consisted of pastoring two churches, a Professor of Psychology and Counseling, and a Vice President of Academic Affairs of three Christian colleges. Upon retirement, Bob and Mary moved to Spring Hill, Florida, and then to Saint Petersburg where they joined Faith Covenant Church. He served on the Church Council at Faith Covenant. Bob had a passion for photography and captured many beautiful images of birds, flowers, and scenery.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm, on February 5, 2026, at Faith Covenant Church, 150 62nd Avenue NE, Saint Petersburg, FL 33702.

Bob will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but we know he is rejoicing in Heaven with the Lord.
