85, of Tampa, Florida and formerly of Clearwater, Florida, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at Memorial Hospital of Tampa. He was born October 27, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Russell S. and Mary (Oakley) Voorhees. Russell was an Air Force Veteran of Korea and a member of V.F.W. He moved to Florida from Richmond, Indiana in 1971 and worked as a security guard in Clearwater, Florida.
He is survived by brothers, William H. “Patricia” Voorhees and Robert L. Voorhees; nieces, Tamari Stanford and Glenda; nephews, William and Terry Voorhees; and several grand nieces and grand nephews.
Russell was laid to rest with Military Honors at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Garden Sanctuary Cemetery in Seminole, Florida.
