Mrs. Embler was born December 16, 1938 in Cleveland County, North Carolina, daughter of the late Dewey Moss and Araminta Green Moss. In her earlier years, her first husband was pastor of Church of God in many towns in North Carolina and Illinois. She was very active in many church activities. After his death she met her second husband Ronnie and they became members of United Vision Pentecostal Church where she sang in the choir and quartet. She never met a stranger and would make it a point to ask if they were saved and if not, she would be happy to explain the love of Jesus. She also traveled on three mission trips to spread the Gospel in other countries. Her life goal was to see everyone she loved come to know the love of God. Mrs. Embler was spunky, and the life of the party. She enjoyed being adventurous with her family. At the age of 84 she went white water rafting and had wonderful pictures to show her excitement. Her adventurous spirit also led her son to purchase a motorcycle just so he could take her for rides. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband John Thomas Wyatt, two brothers, and five sisters.
Survivors include her husband Ronnie Embler of Shallotte; three children, Don Wyatt and wife Anna of San Francisco, California, Ricky Wyatt of Jefferson City, Tennessee, and Tony Wyatt and wife Renee of Clemmons, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Lance, Nick, Tom, and Bo; four great grandchildren, Bryson, Chloe, Jack, and Corra; and a plethora of nieces, nephews, and heart adopted children.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 31, 2024 at three o'clock in the afternoon at United Vision Pentecostal Church with Reverend Ricky Hewett officiating. Burial will follow in Gurganus Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
