As a devoted daughter, mother, and wife and a cherished grandmother and friend, she taught us how to love others before self. She made sure each and every one of her loved ones knew how special they were to her and she always had time to lend a listening ear or give advice.
She was a woman of faith, a fierce prayer warrior, and active member of each church family she was privileged to be a part of over the years - most recently Calvary Baptist Church of Shallotte, NC.
She took special joy in spending time with her husband and her grandchildren, as well as her sweet canine companions over the years, most recently her Sadie. She is most likely now spending time with Rosie, Ginger and Tootie 🐶.
She graduated from Martinsburg High School and was a life long supporter - as an employee, as the mother and grandmother of multiple MHS graduates, and an avid Bulldog fan. Whether she was working at her desk, selling tickets at a ball game, cheering players from the stands, washing uniforms, being a Booster parent, or walking the halls, she always remained a Bulldog at heart. She retired from Berkeley County Public Schools in 2016.
Debbie loved the beach and relocated with her husband, Rick, to Sunset Beach in 2019 where she could walk on the beach any time she wanted! She got to spend lots of time on her patio watching golfers, reading a book or just enjoying her flowers. She liked to dance in the kitchen with her hubby and shop - retirement allowed her time to do both, as well as make new friends and spent lots of time at the pool. She also knitted many Mamall blankets that are cherished by children and adults alike.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church of Shallotte on Thursday, March 26th at 2 pm, with visitation beginning at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Calvary Baptist Church, Shallotte, NC are appreciated.
