

She was born on April 9, 1955 in Brooklyn, NY a daughter of the late Edith Zeno and Daniel Alvarez. Edith was a dedicated employee of ATMC. She loved to sing and led the worship service at Liberty Tabernacle. Edith was a blessing to everyone she met, you would easily find her praying for anyone at any given place. She loved the Lord with all her heart and praised His Name until her very last day. She was an example to everyone, because her faith never wavered.
She is survived by her loving husband, Hector Millet of Arecibo, Puerto Rico; daughter, Roxanne Lancaster and husband Stephen Lancaster; two sons, Victor D. Caraballo and wife Katie of Maryland and Nelson Caraballo; three brothers, Daniel Alvarez of PA, Bernado and Pablo Travieso of MA; two sisters, Josefina (Titi) Zeno and Ramona Nieves of Puerto Rico; she was deeply loved by her nine grandchildren, Heath, Ethan, Miller, Sam, Brooklyn, Jovan, Joseph, Genesis and Joshua.
A celebration of her life will be held at Liberty Tabernacle, 380 Gray Bridge Road, Shallotte, NC by pastor Deborah Blythe and Reverend Dr. Rudy Ramphal on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
A service in honor of Edith Alvarez-Millet will be celebrated after the 9:30 AM Mass, on Sunday, August 21, 2016 in St. Brendan’s Roman Catholic Church, Shallotte, NC.
In lieu of customary remembrances the family asks with gratitude that donations be made in her name to the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick at 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28422.
