He retired from General Motors in 2003 and relocated with his wife to southern Georgia. There he enjoyed year round golf, and continued his obsession with cars. He was a man whose presence brought comfort, guidance, and love to those who knew him. Through the years, John was known for his hard work, his resilience, and the values he carried with him every day.
John’s life was one of dedication—not only to the responsibilities he carried, but to the people he loved most especially his wife Karen. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, family man, and friend whose legacy will live on through the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the love he gave so freely.
He leaves behind family and friends who will forever cherish his wisdom, kindness, and unwavering spirit. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his memory will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know him.
