He was born in Germany on June 22, 1953 the son of the late, Fricis Reinkopfs and Velta Riekstina Reinkopfs.
John was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Royal Order of the Moose.
Surviving are a son, John Michael Reinkopfs and wife, Jessica; a daughter, Bridgette Reinkopfs Savage both of West Virginia; two brothers, Ansis Reinkopfs and his wife, Virginia and Ansis Swope and his wife, Sharon also of West Virginia; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and a good friend, Sherry Lynn Wervey of Supply.
A celeberation of his life will be held at a later date.
