Joshua Michael Simmons

He was born in Brunswick County on January 26, 1981, the son of Michael Simmons, and Robin Renee Hewett and step-mother, Terenthia Gray Simmons all of Holden Beach. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Everett and Margaret Simmons and his maternal grandfather, Talmadge Hewett.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his maternal grandmother, Lou Hewett of Ocean Isle Beach; Three brothers, Matthew Ryan Simmons and wife, Debbie of Nakina, Andrew Dylan Stocks of Ash and Alex Harden of Shallotte; two sisters, Charity Henry and Elizabeth Henry both of Holden Beach; his specials uncles and aunts, Mike and Nancy Hewett, Terry and Penny Simmons all of Shallotte, Marian and Dewayne McCumbee of Ash; a special cousin, Jordan McCumbee; nieces nephews, Seth, Sara, Bailey and Blake; two special friends Jessica Inman and his buddy, Shane Holmes; and James Bowling.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 in the afternoon on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Chapel Hill Cemetery by Reverend Lonnie Varnam and Reverend Bob Weathers officiating.
