She was born in Brunswick County on September 6, 1936 the daughter of the late Olen H. Clemmons and Martha Cheers Clemmons and was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Dayton Rhodes and a special friend, Herman Spencer also a sister, Eva Ward.
“Lou Ellen” was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Jesse Dean Rhodes and wife, Norma Lee of Supply; one sister, Wanda Beam also of Supply; three grandchildren, Samantha Reichle, Jessica Rhodes, and Jason Rhodes; three great-grandchildren, Hailey Garrison, Dayton Reichle and Dana Reichle.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 in the afternoon on Tuesday March 21, 2017 at Oak Grove Cemetery by Reverend Kenny Locklear and Reverend Landis Lancaster officiating.
A family gathering will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Monday evening March 20, 2017 at White Funeral and Cremation Service 3660 Express Drive Shallotte Chapel and other times at their residence.
