Madoline Griffin Varnam

Mrs. Varnam was born in Southport, N.C. on April 5, 1938 and was the daughter of the late John and Rosa McRoy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frankie Varnam. She was a member of Dixon Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by five children, Freddie Hayes, Sonny Hayes, Dottie Holden and husband Greg, Jeremie Varnam and wife Katy all of Supply and Marie Drayton of Rocky Point; nine grandchildren, Melissa, Tara, Tonya, Chris, Shawn, Noah, Brandy, B.J., Paula and nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Catherine Lewis of Southport, Peggy Causey of Kentucky.

Funeral services will be Thursday June 8, 2017 at eleven o’clock in the morning at Dixon Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Bill Negron and Reverend Anthony Clemmons officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Shawn Drayton, Chris Drayton, Van Pyatte, Alex Kuigre, Tommy St. George, and Maurice Galloway.

Friends are invited to a time of visitation with the family on Wednesday evening from six o’clock until eight o’clock at Dixon Chapel United Methodist Church.
