Mary Hair

Mrs. Hair was born December 29, 1943 in Wayne County, North Carolina, daughter of the late Lloyd Baker and Myrtle Ray Denning. She worked in the food service industry for many years. One of her favorite past times was cooking and spending time with her family. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a member of Faith Community Chapel where she attended until her health declined but she continued to read her Bible daily. She always tried to spread the word of salvation to ensure people would receive the Lord in their heart. Her other hobbies include shopping QVC and watching Fox News. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband, Lonnie Weldon Porter; second husband,Billy Talmadge Barfield; third husband, Arthur Hair; three brothers, LJ Baker, Owen Baker, and Marvin Baker; a sister, Janice Faye Baker; two sons, Lonnie Porter and Van Weldon Porter; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Porter; and sister-in-law, Linda Baker.

Survivors include her children, Mickey Will Porter of Bolivia, Ann Morrozoff of Bolivia, and Billie Fulford and husband Paul of Shallotte; mother of her grandchildren, Dana Porter of Illinois; ten grandchildren, Brendon, Alexis, Brooke, Miranda, Lonnie, Mary, John, Miranda Lombardi, Matthew, and Avery; two great grandchildren, Mason and Mariah and another on the way; and a special niece, Susan Baker.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte.
