Millie was born September 10, 1941, in Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Aurelio Servera and Ana Acevedo Servera. At the age of 14, her family moved to the United States and made their home in Bridgeport, Connecticut where she grew up. Millie relocated to Florida for some time until she came to live with her daughter in Shallotte, North Carolina. She was known for her warm sense of humor and for the simple joys she loved—fishing, tending her garden, getting lost in a good book, watching old movies, and listening to her favorite music. She loved spending quiet afternoons in the backyard, feeding the deer and squirrels that came to visit. Millie was incredibly proud of her grandchildren and would brag about them to anyone willing to listen. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her daughters, Ronald Winkler, and her late husband Edward Frashefski; her siblings, Raymond Servera, Wanda Servera, and Imelda Gonzalez.
Survivors include her two daughters, Deborah Bobola and husband Andy of Shallotte and Kristine Barber of Fairfield, Connecticut; two grandchildren, Katelyn Barber and William Barber; two granddogs, Dixie Mae and Rachel; one sister, Valentina Gonzales of California; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend for over 45 years, Alexis Cavallaro.
