Nancy was born in North Carolina and grew up in Franklin, Virginia, honors education at Longwood University. In 1958 She married William C. Smith, boyfriend since the 7th grade. Their marriage of 67 years and love radiate thru daughter, Jill Maxwell and son, Michael Smith , the entire family and friends. Family gathering provided opportunity for all to acknowledge her many talents: love, generosity, encouragement, appreciation, and Christian outreach.
Granddaughters, Meghan Rooney, Shannon Cowan, Jessica Cowan and Grandson, Landon Smith are prime examples of her blessings and legacy. She created beautiful, framed artwork and Christmas cards sharing with many friends across the world. Never did she speak an unkind word. She was our earthy angel : beaming, reaching, smiling, teaching, worrying, cheering, sighing, remembering good.
Nancy lives within our life forever and rest in GOD'S embrace.
