Raymond Ellis Bellamy Jr.

R.E. was born in the Boone’s Neck area of Supply, NC on August 16, 1935 to Raymond Ellis and Rosie Fulford Bellamy. He attended school in Shallotte, NC. His work experience has included various jobs in the shrimping and dredging industry, R.E. Bellamy and Sons Hardware, self-employment as plumber, painter and all around jack of all trades. He work with Odell and Virginia Williamson.

In addition to his parents, R.E. is preceded in death by his son Harold (Buster) Norris; grandson Timmy Bellamy, siblings Norman Bellamy (Iona) Clara Holden (Wilber), Evyleene Reeves (Paul), Leona Cheers (Roney), Palmer Bellamy (Earlene “Pet”), Ophelia Gaither, and brother-in-law H.D. Parrish.

He is survived by his wife Geraldine Cox Bellamy; his children Linwood Bellamy (Pat), Harold Bellamy, Melanie Bellamy Long, Raymond “Lee” Bellamy; his grandchildren Jeremy Norris, (Shelly), Mallory Pearce (Wesley), Haylie Long, Joshua Long, Samantha Bullock (Garrett), Dylan Bellamy and Regina Gales; great grandchildren Colby Norris, Chase Norris, Easton Pearce, Evelyn Pearce, Bella Bullock and Killian Bullock; sister Margaret Parrish, and brother-in-law William “Billy” Gaither; and beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at White Funeral and Cremation Service located in Shallotte, NC.

Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the same location with the Reverend Bobby Causey, officiating.

Burial will follow at Sabbath Home Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his nephews David Reeves, B.J. Gaither, Chris Parrish, Dadent Hayes, Travis Hayes, Keith Hughes and honorary pallbearer Eddie Bellamy.
