Rolando Manuel Pitts

Rolando was born in Cumberland County on March 9, 1980, son of Valencia P. Johnson and husband Kelvin of Charleston, South Carolina and the late First Sergeant Eugene A. Pitts, Sr.

Survivors in addition to his mother and stepfather include his stepmother, Geneva Pitts; wife Kelly G. Pitts; three sons, Matthew Scott, Zachary Scott, and Jeremy Scott; grandson, Jaxton Scott; siblings, Christopher Wallace, Tyrone Copening, Rayven Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Miquzal Johnson, Aalyah Pittman, Eugene Pitts, Jr., Marcus Pitts, and David Reeves; grandmother, Maggie Reeves and husband Ronald; aunts and uncles, Dwight Pitts, Sr. and wife Donna, Sonja Pitts Gaylord and husband Michael, Dr. Lisa Staton and husband Anthony, Vertiz Pittman and wife Maria, Angela Schneider and husband Terry, Julia Cepeda and husband Tito, Veronica Reeves, Timothy Reeves and wife Julie, David Reeves and wife Bonnie, Joel Reeves and wife Selenthia and Anna Hill Drye and many cousins and great cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, November 1, 2024 in the Lou White Memorial Chapel of White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte, North Carolina. The family requests everyone to wear red in honor of Rolando's favorite color.
