Sharon Floy Long Edwards

Sharon was born October 22, 1948 in Little River, South Carolina, daughter of the late Lawrence Long and Sarah Henry Long. She grew up and lived in Little River until relocating to Rock Hill, South Carolina in 1983. After seven years she and her son Jonathan returned to Little River where she remained until her health declined. Sharon was happiest when she was caring for others. She loved and cherished her family especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Tommy, Larry, and Billy as well as two sisters, Nancy and Shirley.

Survivors include her son Jonathan Edwards and wife Lacey of Havelock, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Lohna Edwards and Braylon Edwards; one brother, Ricky Long of Little River, South Carolina; two sisters, Betty Biddle and Kathy Saunders, both of Little River, South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 30, 2023 at eleven o'clock in the morning at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte, North Carolina.
