Susie Ann Gray

She was born on May 24, 1942 in Brunswick County. The daughter of the late Bryan Ruffin Hewett and Dorothy Ann Cheers Hewett. She was preceded in death by the love of her life Henry Edward Gray, Jr.; her sister, Marie Long and her husband, Marvin a special sister and brother-in-law, Carlene and George White; and her father and mother in law, Edward and Ruth Gray.

Susie was a member of First Baptist Church of Shallotte and a member of the Young at Heart Sunday School Class.

Surviving are her children, Rose Marie Carroll and husband, John of Carolina Shores, Kimberly Ann Clemmons and Robin Michelle McKeithan (Alan Chance) both of Shallotte; her grandchildren, Beth Carroll, Melissa Bocks, Kristi Hardee, Ashley Clemmons, Tracie Carroll, Colby McKeithan, Chase McKeithan; great-grandchildren: Bailey Powers, Suzanna King, Aidan Crooks, Dylan Powers, James Clemmons, Connor Yates, Kailyn King, Madalyn Powers, Gray Hardee: several special family members, Bobby and Leatrice Smith, Clarice Fields, David and Edna Gray, Ronald and Debbie Cumbee and her best friend Brenda Hewett.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 in the afternoon on Friday July 14, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Shallotte by Rev. Bob Weathers, Rev. Landis Lancaster and Rev. Jason Benton officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm in the evening at the funeral home and other times at their residence.
