Terry Layman was a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, an uncle, and a friend. He was an energy that reached every corner of the room. Terry strived to form connections. He was an intersection with no red lights, where everyone could always come and go when they were ready to turn. In his life he traveled all the roads, and left mile markers for friends and family to follow. In his travels, he met so many strangers that left as his new friends. There was never a boat he didn’t dream about buying, or a fish he didn’t want a picture next to. He was a cross-country truck driver that managed to find the joy in every stop on the way to providing for his family. He measured wealth in the smiles and laughter he instilled in his friends and loved ones. A true family man that turned earth and stone for those he loved. Known around the highways as “Wolf Man, Or Long Island Cowboy”, He traveled the highways breathing life to the American industrial complex. Terry was born in Dallas Texas to Edwin and Joyce Layman.
Terry is survived by his brothers Michael, and Scott Layman, his wife of forty years Deborah, his children Anna, Anthony, and Rebecca, and the grandchildren that loved him dearly.
Terry lived life in a way that captivated those around him. His passion and thirst for living life lifted the spirits of anyone that crossed paths with him. Terry was no stranger to struggle; and when facing his final drop to Jesus, he asked for a Three Musketeers on the way.
