I don't know where to even begin, you accepted me into the family with open arms the first day I walked thru the front door on Rambler Pl. You have been a wonderful father in law and I love you as if you were my own father. You were there for us thru every up and down and never turned your back.  You were always so fun to be around with all of your silly or off the wall comments, there was no filter but that is what made you YOU!  You were the best grandpa EVER, not many children get to experience the things your grandchildren did with their grandpa. Tried to attend every sporting event or school function they had.  Took them on trips and just in general spent so much quality time with them. They will always cherish and never forget those memories.  I love you and you will be greatly missed!

I will miss you so much. You were such an amazing man and fantastic grandpa. I love you Uncle Dave.

I love you grandpa. I'm with grandma now. I've been staying here every night since you left except for one night ( I needed to re-energize!) But im staying with grandma and helping take care of her during this time just like you asked. I'm so glad your out of your suffering. I miss you and I love you !!

Uncle Dave, it's just like you to consider your family and friends during your final weeks with us, by giving us all the opportunity to tell you how much we love you. Thank you for that gift. You will always be in our hearts.

You were so good and kind; so loving and thoughtful; so funny and witty. You were all of the things a man could be: Courageous, strong, sensitive, caring,humane,brave,objective, fair minded and you always did the right thing. You were always there for those who needed help. You were a lover of all mankind and accepting of all mankind, whatever their persuasion. And importantly you spoke out against injustice of any kind. The world is a much better place and we are much better people because you were here. You will always be in my prayers, my thoughts and my memories. You will always be my baby brother, even though I sometimes felt it was the other way around.

dave, I have such great memories in my childhood with you and your family. one that sticks out and I think of often and have to smile. we were all playing follow the leader us kids our parents, the neighborhood  kids. you were the leader. so we had to do every thing you did and you walk up to a telephone pole and kissed it. I was like o gross but I followed and did it any ways. I have tons of memories of you like this. thankyou so much for giving me them . love you

Uncle Dave was a true family man who epitomized the concept of the extended family.  Uncle Dave and Aunt Betty had a marriage made in heaven that was a true testament to the power of love.

I look at the pictures and I remember that smile ~ and I wonder how did life get away from us so fast? The memories you created with your loving family, and the wonderful memories you imprinted on all of us, when we were children, will never be forgotten. You were and still are a beautiful soul, I love you, Uncle Dave with all my heart~~~~~ love your niece, Neecie.
