Robert Alan Eisentrout, born Feb 10 1928, died March 11 2018 in Cincinnati, OH. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and grew up at Canadohta Lake, PA. He graduated from Penn State University and served in the US Army during the Korean conflict as a physical therapist. He married Mary Anne Bloom from Titusville, PA in 1952; she predeceased him in 2003. He worked in advertising on Madison Avenue in New York City until 1961 when he moved to Akron, OH to work at BF Goodrich Tire Company, eventually rising to be the president of that company. He traveled the world in his work and was an avid golfer, able to play many of the best golf courses in the world. In 2008 he remarried to Shirley Mitchell who survives him. He is also survived by brother George Eisentrout (Union City, PA), sons Dr. Craig (Kris) Eisentrout (Cincinnati), Scott (Margy) Eisentrout (Ann Arbor, MI), grandchildren Katy (Rob) Gerth (Cincinnnati), Brett (Cincinnati), Clare (Madison, WI), Robert (Philadelphia, PA), and Jack Eisentrout (Ann Arbor, MI), and great-grandchildren Zachary and Evelyn Gerth (Cincinnati).
