Jean Ramelle Timm, age 78, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012. She was born July 1, 1934 in Medford, the daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy (Klaar) Molzner. Jean married her loving husband, Arnold “Bill” Timm, on November 27, 1954 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Park Falls, Wisconsin. The family moved to Kohler in July of 1972. Together they enjoyed 40 years of marriage before Bill’s passing on November 24, 1995.
Jean was an active volunteer. She loved working on election days helping people vote. She was an avid fan of Jeopardy and was most thrilled when she learned her grandson was scheduled to be a contestant. Jean loved the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. She also enjoyed puzzle games, but most of all, Jean loved babysitting for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jean is lovingly survived by her children: Patti (Bob) Schatz of Egan, MN., Colleen (Scott) Thurs of Friendship, Ramelle Timm of Kansas City, MO., Erin Steinpreis of Plymouth, Pam (Dave) LaBouve of Grafton; grandchildren: Amy Jo (Jenn Kampmeyer) Nordall, Tracy (Jeremy) Mickelson, Chris (Carrie Schutt) Homp, Dave (Marsha) Homp, Jenny (Artie Green) Homp, Heidi Ide, Amanda (Jamie) Farr, Matt Steinpreis; great-grandchildren: Jacob, Andrew, Charlie, Simon, Jestine, Reggie, Evelyn, Dexter, Nico, Tyller, Gavin; brother-in-law, Bob (Marvel) Timm, and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Jean is preceded in death by her infant son and her brother, Gary Molzner.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Jean’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the 5th floor staff at St. Nicholas Hospital, the staff at Pine Haven and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all their love, care and support for Jean.
A Memorial Service for Jean will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 222 Church Street, Kohler, with the Rev. Robert Steele officiating. Friends will be received at the church for visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. The committal will be held at Woodland Cemetery at a later date.
