Veronica Meza

Veronica A. Meza, age 87, of Sheboygan, died Sunday morning, September 8, 2013. She was born July 2, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas to Anacleto Meza Leyva and Concepcion Meza Leyva. In 1973 her family relocated to Sheboygan where she was employed at Lakeside Foods in Belgium and Random Lake until her retirement.

Veronica was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed cooking and visiting with her family. She especially loved babysitting for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Leonardo Hurtado, Lazaro Hurtado, Martha Serna, Ignacio Hurtado, Maria Burt, Martin Meza, Maria O. Hernandez, and Julio Meza; twenty-eight grandchildren; seventy-four great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; one brother; one sister; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Juan Hurtado, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Guadalupe Amador.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. A time of visitation and support will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in her name.
