Harold Richard Phillips Sr.

Harold Richard Phillips, Sr., 74, a resident of Shenandoah passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at his home. He was born February 12, 1945 in Fauquier County and was the son of the late Henry and Nettie Miller Phillips. Harold was a plumber by trade and retired after becoming ill. He loved gardening and working with and repairing small engines. On September 23, 1978 he married the former, Janet L. “Suzy” Fletcher, who survives. He is also survived by his children, Richard Phillips of Locust Grove, Va, Connie Smiley and husband, Jason, of Verona, James Phillips and wife, Mary of Luray, Jonathan Phillips, Kelly Phillips and Michael Phillips all of Shenandoah; three grandchildren, Ryan and Haylee Smiley and Landon Phillips; one sister, Linda “Winky” Frazier of Amissville; his mother-in-law, Janice Rainbolt of Locust Grove, VA; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by eight siblings. Honoring his wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
