Mary Eula (Keyser) Gregory

Mary Eula Keyser Gregory, 92, of Shenandoah, VA, departed this life February 11, 2023 after a long illness. She married Hoyt Andrew Gregory of N.C. and had two children before separating. She later met Earl V. Cubbage with whom she shared her life until his death in 2012. She was employed by Sleepware, Comdial and Plants-a-Plenty. Mary spent each day exactly as she wanted. She loved to garden and travel the Blue Ridge Parkway. She was a skilled Quilter, enjoyed Needlework, painting ceramics and making holiday ornaments. She weaved baskets and made rugs on her Mothers loom. Each year, she looked forward to Butchering, making Apple Butter and listening to Bluegrass music with family and friends. But most of all, she loved her family. Mary is predeceased by parents Molder & Virgie Breeden Keyser as well as beloved daughter, Patricia Turner. She is survived by daughter, Carolyn Hardy (Kirk), who lovingly cared for her in her final years as well as Grandchildren, Rachael Crawford-Tash (Chris), Charles Turner (Crystal), Michael Turner (Amanda), Rodney Crawford (Jessica), Dustin Turner (Corey); ten Great-Grandchildren, and a son-in-law, Hootie Turner. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the Shenandoah Assembly of God beginning at 12:00 Noon, followed by funeral service at 1:00 PM, Pastor Carter Dean will officiate. Interment will be at the Sam Comer Cemetery, Comertown Rd. Lindsey Kyger Funeral Home in Shenandoah is handling arrangements.
