Daniel Thompson

Daniel Thompson age 92 of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on October 10, 2016. Among those who preceded him in death are his parents, Thomas and Clara Thompson; wife, Carolyn Logsdon Thompson; sister, Evelyn Barnes. He was a retiree of Cemex Co. and also worked for L & L Electric, Philip Thompson Plumbing an Army Veteran of WWII, 62 year member of Miles Masonic Lodge 341 and a faithful member of Shepherdsville First Church of The Nazarene. He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Lonnie Thompson (Donna), Roger Thompson (Pam); brothers, Tommy (Pasty), Ronald (Maureen) and Philip (Linda) Thompson; sister, Emily Ford; 3 grandchildren, Greg, John, Kelley, 4 great grandchildren, Jamie, Noah, Lucas, Kyle; a very special friend Ann Gorman and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted Noon on Friday in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street Shepherdsville with burial in Knob Creek Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a masonic service 7:30 p.m. at Hardy-Close Funeral Home. Expression of sympathy to his church.
