Doris Brown

Doris J. Brown, age 81 of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 15, 2026. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on Tuesday, April 29, 1944, to the late Joseph and Josephine L’Heureux.

Doris was a licensed cosmetologist for 50 years. She loved to play Bingo and her trips to the casino. She never missed a good party and was quite a pool player. She enjoyed her vacations at the beach and spending her summers down at Nolan Lake with her family. She was big fan of the University of Louisville Cardinals. Doris was a loving mom, grandma, sister and friend that will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas W. Brown Sr., son Thomas W. Brown Jr., her beloved fur baby Snickers and her twin brothers Mike and Mark L’Heureux.

She is survived by her loving children, Karen Brown and Todd Brown; granddaughter, Jacy Brown; her siblings, Tony L’Heureux, Debbie Durbin; her loving sister-in-law, Vikki L’Heureux, her grand-pups, Das, Oreo, and Roxy along with a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 3 pm to 8 pm and again on Saturday from 9 am until the time of service at 11 am.
