Janet Lee Belcher, age 80 of Shepherdsville, returned to her heavenly father on Sunday, August 20, 2023. She was born in Louisville on Monday, February 1, 1943, to the late Charles and Oretha Ridgway.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Belcher, and nephews, Charles Dwight Able and Clayton Sims Dawson.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sister, June Dawson; her sister-in-law Sadie Woods; her brother-in-law, Neal Belcher (Barbara); along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 1 pm in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street, Shepherdsville with burial to follow at Knob Creek Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, from 10 am until the time of service at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bullitt County Animal Shelter.
