He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Hattie Simmons, and Clarence and Mattie Arnold.
Mike enjoyed fishing and spending time with his son.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Charles and Peggy Simmons; his son, Michael Hunter Simmons; his brother, Charles Simmons; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be at 6 pm Tuesday, July 16, 2024, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 South Buckman Street Shepherdsville, with cremation to follow. Visitations will be Tuesday 2 pm until the time of service at 6 pm.
