Jackson, Richard Lee "Smokey" 64 of Shepherdsville entered eternal life September 4, 2014 at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was retired from General Electric, a Marine Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 157. He is preceded in death by his parents Herschel and Pauline Seagers-Jackson; son Troyed Jackson; and Sister Bonnie Ogle. He leaves those to cherish his memory daughters Melanie Jackson and Charlotte Minton; brothers Benjamin, Glenn, Darrell, J.D., and Merle Jackson; Sister Freda Gould and 13 grandchildren. Funeral Service will be 11am Monday at Hardy-Close Funeral Home with burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 - 8pm Sunday and after 9am Monday until time of service.
