Robert "Bobby" Douglas King

   Robert “Bobby” King, age 71 of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, June 27, 2022, with loving family by his side. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He loved animals, Nascar, fishing, classic rock music, anything relating to SciFi, Star Wars and Star Trek. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl E. King and Martha Brown; mothers-in-law, Geneva Stinnett and Noma Webb and also several fur babies.

   He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 32 years, Lucia King; children, Valerie Rene’ Ridge (Jason), William Lucas (Amanda), Brian Lucas (Lindsey) and Maranda Lucas (Adam); grandchildren, Alexis Ridge, Patrick Ridge, Mason Ridge, Brianna Lucas, Braylen Lucas, Izayah Lucas, Angel Lucas, James Lucas, Bailey Cissell, Kinsley Lucas, Robert Lucas and Kenzie Campbell and a host of other family and friends.

   Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 7 pm in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with cremation to follow. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 1 pm until time of service at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
