Arthur "Artie" Wells

Mr. Wells was born in Eastern Kentucky where he worked 20 years as a coal miner in Benham, KY. He later retired from Harshaw Chemical Louisville after 34 years and Kentucky Security Police after 27 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bradley and Ida Wells; son, Dallas; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Michael (Linda M.), Wallace (Linda S.), Gregory (Kathy) and Marty (Angelique) Wells; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mossey and Maudy and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Monday at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington (Hwy 44 east one mile from Bardstown Rd.) with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Monday at the funeral home.
