Barbara Carol Lawson

   Barbara Carol Lawson, age 76 of Valley Station, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 1, 2023, with loving family by her side. She was born on November 15, 1946, to the late James Jones Sr. and Annabelle (Middleton) Morrison. Barbara was a member of Penile Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Richard Lawson and brothers, James “Chuck” Jones, Jr., and William “Bill” Newton.

   She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Joyce Keener (Jimmy) and Eva Geary (Leon); grandchildren, Nicholaus Lawson (Veronica), Brittany Price (Tee), Sean Fountain, Jamie Keener, Jessica Keener, Jase Keener and Jackson Keener as well as a host of other family and friends.

   Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 12 pm in the chapel at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy. in Shepherdsville) with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday, June 5, 2023, from 1 pm until 8 pm and on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 9 am until time of service at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home.
