Carole Lynn Gresham

Carole Lynn Gresham, age 81, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky. She was a schoolteacher in Shelbyville, Ky. and was a Methodist by faith. Carole passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. She was born in Whittier, California to the late James Walker Tisdale and Lela W.Tisdale. In her most important role, Carole was a loving and dedicated wife and mother, spending precious time supporting her husband and daughters with their endeavors. Carole took great pride in her work as a teacher and enjoyed working with students learning Spanish. In retirement, Carole travelled with her husband, collected nutcrackers, and spent time with her growing family. Throughout her life, she had many dogs (Coco, Thor, Annie, Boy, BJ, and Susie) that offered her great companionship and enjoyment.

She is predeceased by her parents, James (Doc) and Lela Tisdale; her twin brother, Carl Tisdale and her in-laws, Henry and Marianne Gresham. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Henry Gresham for 57 years; two daughters, Heidi Connors (Todd) and Carla Gresham; three sisters, Yvonne Tisdale, Delores Blacklock (Owen) and Zoe Traphagan (Joe); sister-in-law Becky Gresham Rieff (Sid); 4   grandchildren, Gresham Connors (Sojourn), Lela Connors, August Connors and Stella Connors;  and a host of family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at National Veteran Cemetery, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) oversaw arrangements. Cremation was chosen. Expression of sympathy may be made to the charity of your choice.
