Clarence William Shepherd

Mr. Clarence William Shepherd, age 89, of Shepherdsville, KY passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 surrounded by his family. Mr. Shepherd was born in Shepherdsville, KY on March 30, 1931 to the late Clarence Lee Shepherd and Edna Heffley- Ashby. He owned an auction house for over 30 years, he was a former member of the Shepherdsville VFW Post #5710 and Millwright Local Union #1076.

Among those who preceded him in death are, his wife, Shirley Ann Shepherd; children, Shirley Heath, Danny Shepherd, infant Rosemary Shepherd and infant Billy Shepherd; granddaughters, Charlotte Trodden, Rhonda Shepherd and Amanda DeLano; great-granddaughter, Chloe DeLano and his brother, Leroy Shepherd.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Linda Cole (Dennis), Peggy Kyle (Hugh), Mary Boland, Margie Oliver (Bill) and Connie Herrell; stepchildren, Jacqueline Crouch, Terry Hackel (Sandy), Chrissy Hackel, Timmy Hackel (Jennifer); 22 grandchildren; 69 great- grandchildren; 10 great- great grandchildren; siblings, Tommy McDaniel (Judy) and Maxine Edwards; his beloved canine companion, Penny and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, July 20, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
