Donald L. Hodges

Donald L. Hodges, age 83, of Louisville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 21, 2023.   He was born in Hart County, KY on January 31, 1940, to the late Raymond Hodges and Cathy Jones Hodges Railey.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Michelle Railey and two brothers, Robert Hodges and Phillip Hodges.

He was a member of Gilmore Lane Church of God, Robinson-Plumb Lodge #266 F&AM and a retired machine operator for Inland Container.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Annie Hodges, having united in marriage on December 30, 1984; his children, David Hodges, Debbie Hodges, Tim Hodges and Donna Cecil; 15 grandchildren, 12 ½ great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Cooper and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 26, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 1 pm until 8 pm and on Thursday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.  A masonic service will be held at 7 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
