James Walter Dunn

James Walter Dunn Jr."Jimmy" age 73 of Fairdale was born December 12, 1939 to the late James Walter Sr. and Rosa Anna Dunn and returned to his Heavenly Father April 9, 2013. Mr. Dunn was a retired employee of General Electric Company after serving 33 years of faithful service and served in the Kentucky Air National Guard. He was an avid UK fan and loved all sports and outdoor activities such as golf and fishing. Most of all he loved his family and friends, spending time with them, listening to country music and enjoying life.

Among those who preceded him in death include his parents and a brother, Glenn Merideth.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughter and son, Sandra J. Able (Kent) and James Walter Dunn III; former wife, Barbara Ann Dunn; sisters, Glenda Merideth, Donna Herchenrader, Deborah Self and Jeanie Hendricks; brothers, Bobby and Tracy Merideth, Ray and Danny Dunn; grandchildren, Emily, Tyler, Ryan, Madison and Caleb; a host of other close family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 10 A.M. Saturday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 12 P.M. until 8 P.M. Friday at Schoppenhorst.
